So we are now down to 5 after Elise got booted out of the competition middle of this week.

The remaining American Idol contestants are:  Laine, Phillips, Jessica Sanchez, Hollie Cavanagh and Joshua.

BTW I think Elise wasn’t the weakest among last week.  I think she deserves to stay at least for 1 or 2 more weeks.  I think it should either be Hollie or Philip who should have been booted out.  Anyway for those who missed the show here’s a clip of Elise’s last performance.

So what did the judges say?

Steven: “Freddie Mercury would be proud . . . Rock is not your forte.”

Jennifer: “I would have loved to see more of that rocking out.”

Randy: “I loved it, you used great restraint there were no runs in it. I thought it was good. One tip when doing rock like this, channel Tina Turner.”
